Why do halogen lamps burn out?
Every 2-3 weeks I change the halogen bulb in the chandelier. The symptom is always the same - the metal contacts of the light bulb are covered with a white coating, and then break. This is clearly seen in the photo:
What could be the reason? And how to solve this problem?

"Tempering colors" on the contacts indicate overheating in the cartridge due to poor contact - it is necessary to change the cartridge. Secondly, the cartridge must correspond to the power of the lamp; it is likely that you inserted a 60W lamp into a 35W cartridge and it cannot provide effective heat removal from the lamp contacts. The 60W cartridge for such lamps will have a different design of the contact system, which eliminates overheating in the contact group due to the contact area and additional area to remove excess heat.
