Why do external interfaces drain my MacBook when it sleeps?

Lord!
Why is it that when an external monitor or USB hub is connected to a Macbook Pro, 35% of the laptop's charge per night is taken away, which is in sleep mode?
At first I wondered why a USB hub, where all ports are separately disabled, discharges a laptop.
The situation is the same with an external monitor, which I turn off at night, but do not pull out the connector from the laptop.
I didn't find any information about this on the Internet.
