Intel core i5, 8/256gb. Is it worth it to take used but in medal condition with a complete set in 2020 for programming? And what are his problems?

RAM at least 16 well, depending on what kind of programming. 256 drive is tolerable in general, but I chose 512 and don't make my brain work. Of the problems - sometimes the gap blunts, and so the device is top-end.
About the used one, I can say that it’s worth checking, except perhaps the number of recharge cycles of the battery, but I drive my own and in the tail and the blame, it still holds normally
