Why do 99% of services neglect signing guests for their email newsletter?

It seems to me that this is not only my personal feature: to receive most of the news through my email. I open it much more often than the same social networks and even more important sites for myself. And in the last year I have been feeling that sites and services are neglecting such an important communication channel as email newsletters. This is especially important, in my opinion, for all kinds of news and article sites, where the main way to interact with the service is to read texts. Each site has buttons to subscribe to their social media pages or RSS feed. But there is no way to subscribe to the email newsletter.
Do more people use RSS feeds than email? Do most people manage to get more or less important news in the general flow of unsorted information through their social network accounts?

Email marketing is underestimated by many entrepreneurs.
If advertising brings you single customers, mailing lists make customers forever. With the right mailing list business grows.
Moreover, only interested users who really want to receive useful material and even information about paid services/products subscribe to mailing lists.
Of course, if you actively send spam, you will not get any positive effect, but only a negative reaction.

I prefer to work with StandardMailer.ru. I consider it the most reliable. Designed to work in serious conditions, while others - for ideal conditions.
