Why did the power button on the system unit stop glowing?

The computer is relatively new - collected a year and a half ago. I did not use the computer for 10 days. Today I noticed that the power button on the system unit does not light up. The first time I turned it on, it seemed to work. The loading indicator (the one that glows red) works. From new - downloaded a couple of games from a trusted source. Could the reason be in the software?
Also, in the process of work, I went to check the temperature of the processor through the HW Monitor. Never had problems with this, but today I saw 88 degrees on PCH.

I turned off the computer, turned it on after a few hours - the same story from the start of 88 degrees PCH. I went through Aida - there PCH is 42 degrees and in Hw Monitor the temperature on it ceased to show at all. Maybe related?

The reason is definitely not in the software. Remove the cover of the system unit, disconnect the wires going from the front panel to the motherboard (remember first what was where) and reconnect. You can also test the LED with a tester. You can also try (although I'm not sure) to temporarily swap the hdd led and power led wires on the motherboard (search for the inscriptions on the motherboard or the wires themselves).
