Why did the latest version of itunes no longer show app content on iphone?

The latest version of itunes has lost the ability to view app content on iphone.
For example: earlier it was possible to see what documents are contained in Foxit Reader or Office Suite.
Also, it was possible to upload these same documents to these applications through itunes.
This feature is no longer available in iTunes.
How to solve this problem?
