Why connects through Arduino (USB HOST SHIELD) and Android (ADK)?

Greetings!
In general, subject.
There is USB HOST SHIELD 2 and Arduino UNO
. I collected the simplest example from the library that came with the board - ArduinoBlinkLed for Android, uploaded the sketch to Arduino, hooked up additional power to Arduino (7 volts 1.5 amperes, the stabilizer heats up, but not much).
And the dancing begins. Never connects the first time. You have to distort usb 100500 times, press reset, restart the program, reboot the tablet and maybe once a thousandth you will deign to connect.
Tried different tablets and phones - everywhere is about the same. How can this behavior be corrected?
PS The Android makes sounds with every reset / poking of the cord that something is connected, but nothing further.

@PavelK

The connection works in the following way:
1. Connect the power to the arduino
2. Run the application
3. Connect the device cord to usbshield
Works the first time.
But if you pull the cord of the device, it refuses to reconnect, although everything is implemented programmatically =(
Some kind of pipets.
