Why can the mouse turn off during operation?

A very strange thing happens - the mouse itself turns off!
This happens both during work and after the laptop wakes up from sleep! The mouse is wired, the laptop is running Ubuntu 14.04!
It is very inconvenient, because you need to restart the computer, but you don’t want to reinstall the system!
Who faced? What could be the problem and how to fix it?

In any incomprehensible situation - read the logs
, poke into different ports with the mouse and see what happens in
tail -f /var/log/syslog

similar happens to me. with a mouse, I also noticed this when you connect an external drive to a laptop, everything goes out (turns off), but more often it works flawlessly, maybe something with a USB port. because old laptop 2008. Lubuntu system 14.04. try using a different port.
