Why can't ubuntu bootloader see free space?
instead of the inscription "free space" it says "unused." and I can't create partitions for ubuntu (/, /home, /swap etc). plus sign is not clickable

You have 4 main partitions, this is the maximum for an MBR.
You can delete one, create an additional partition and partition it however you like, or convert the drive to GPT.
