Can NTFS be used on a new Linux?

I recently compiled Frankenstein in the form of Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS with kernel 5.15.28. Finally, NTFS partitions began to work as expected, the speed became acceptable. Plus, Windows stopped cursing about connecting partitions to Linux.
Is it possible and reasonable to use NTFS on newer Linux distributions?

Why Ext4 does not suit you? At least for Total Commander, I saw a plugin for working with Ext4 partitions.
