Why can't the BIOS or Ubuntu see the SSD?

I have an Asus Zenbook UX32VD 500GB HDD + 24GB SSD. I installed Windows on my SSD, everything was fine until I realized that it was impossible for me to meet 24 GB. Having formatted the SSD and reinstalled Windows, I found that the computer boots up for 5 minutes, due to the fact that it does not find the SSD (where everything should be cached). I scored on the SSD and turned it off using the standard Windows service (thinking that you can return all this if you wish). Now I switched to ubuntu and neither the BIOS nor the axis see the SSD. I use standard gnome-disks and gparted. How to be? Thank you.
