Why can't the battery charge?
Hello!
There is a Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop.
Recently the power connector broke and I ordered a similar one via the Internet. Replaced the power plug with a new one. When connected to the network, you can see that the charging indicator is on and the laptop is working. However, if you connect the battery, the charge indicator turns off, the charge level does not increase, but the laptop is powered by the mains. What could be the problem? I tried resetting the BIOS settings, as well as some tips on the link: lookfornotebook.ru/energy
The power connector that I ordered - Ebay.com
When you turn it on, you see the following message:
The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined
