Why can't Mikrotik hEX S power hAP ac2 via PoE?
There is Mikrotik hEX S - on the fifth port passive PoE out;
and Mikrotik hAP ac2 - on the first passive PoE in port.
The standard hEX S power supply (24 volts, 1.2 amperes) is used.
The devices were connected with different patch cords (category 5e), with a metal connector and with a plastic one - it doesn't matter - hAP ac2 does not blink any LEDs when connected to hEX S.
I don't understand why hEX S can't power hAP ac2?

I advise you to put a slightly more powerful power supply for the same 24 volts, as an option, it cannot produce power.
The second option is to update the firmware in the hex s device.
If this does not help, knock on support, in general, not only you had such a problem

PS I myself, alas, gave hap ac2, but you could check it with Hex s.
