Why Can't Install Linux Ubuntu?

I tried to install any Linux distributor on my single-core hardware with 3GHz, 2RAM and NVIDIA GeForce9500. Not one of them was installed or even started from LiveCD mode.
I just get the message "idm_parse_tocblock(): Cannot find TOCBLOCK, database my corrupt [ 10.264921]" on the screen and that's it.
What to do, what does this mean.
Thank you.

if you have Windows at hand, then record via UltraIso

As far as I understand this inscription, the system cannot read the Table Of Contents (TOC) block of the bootable media. In Windows, a flash drive can be created exclusively with Rufus - unetbootin used to beat images.
The computer is of course thin but nowadays, but you can put something on 2.6.
