Why can't I connect via Putty?

Hello, in order to reach one database, I had to connect my laptop to the network using a cable (and before that, respectively, there was Wi-Fi).
Up to this point, the VM connected remarkably through Putty and there were no problems. After connecting the cable - Putty freezes and can not connect. (See screenshot)

What could be the matter?
Thanks

Most likely, the virtual network remained tied to the wi-fi interface, you need to restart it with new parameters.

And what IP does the laptop receive via cable?
Wifi disabled?

Most similar to changes in IP routing. First you need to look at the routing (in Windows: "route print"); it is also possible to trace (on Windows: "tracert ..."; on Unix: "traceroute ...").
