Why can't I access blocked sites through VPN?

Hello. I rented a German VPS and deployed an OpenVPN server there. From my computer, through the OpenVPN client, I connected to my server - everything is buzzing, there is a connection, the IP address of my server is displayed on the 2ip website and the location is Germany. But when you try to access blocked sites like linkedin, the browser returns Connection refused.

I tried to connect to the server via SSH and smoke LinkedIn - everything also worked fine, the correct HTML returned. But if I smoke from the console of my computer under VPN, then the connection refused error is returned again.

Perhaps the problem is related to DNS names, because when I pinged through DNS from a server, one IP address was returned to me, and when I did the same from my machine under vpn, another IP address was returned. In the OpenVPN server settings, I specified Google's DNS and DHCP.

I'm not a network manager or a system administrator, I had no experience with networks, so I'm writing here so that experienced people can tell me which way to dig. Thank you in advance for your response

It is connected with them.
DNS requests do not go through your VPN, it seems. Wrap them up in a VPN.
