Why can't ftp open the file for editing?

I ran into a strange problem that didn't exist before.
We have Debian8+KDE4.4+Krusader
When you try to edit a file via ftp, an empty sheet opens. Tested in many editors. But at the same time, Kate and KrViewer open normally, but they do not suit me. All editors that I tried to roll - do not work.
I suspect that it's not entirely in the editors. Whether in rights, then in what ....
Krusader launched under the root and without - there is no sense. I've been fighting for two hours, googling does not give anything, some people have a problem, but there is no solution.

I put Gnome Commander, I connect, I click A4 - silence ... On f3 the file opens.
Thus, the matter is neither in the file manager, nor in the editor.
Changed the folder for temporary files - to no avail.
What then is the matter?
