Why aren't segues created in Xcode?

The third day I'm struggling with XCode 6, I can't create a segue...
I hold down Ctrl, click on the desired controller and drag to another controller. In theory, this should show a blue line, but it is not. When I release the mouse, a menu appears, but not quite the same as in all the lessons) It does not react to pressing the plus signs and the rest of the menu)
Question: am I not understanding something? Or maybe something needs to be enabled somewhere?)

By clicking on which control are you going to make the transition?
With UILabel, for example, you can't.
