This can happen if canvas randomization is enabled in the settings to prevent fingerprinting.
Go to about:config and look for the setting

privacy.resistFingerprinting.randomDataOnCanvasExtract

. If it is on, try turning it off and see if the problem is gone. If this is the case, then decide for yourself what is more important for you - pictures or counteracting fingerprinting, depending on this, set the setting value.
There are other settings in the section privacy.resistFingerprintingthat can appear as effects that look like browser issues. For example, the settings privacy.resistFingerprinting.reduceTimerPrecisionappear as such a problem in the WordPress editor.
