Why are media uploads in Wordpress without an extension?

I don’t understand what caused the problem, media files without permission in the uploads folder, except for one cropped

Good old debugging will help you - disable all plugins and put the default twenty theme. Are you checking file uploads, is it working fine? And now, one by one, you start to turn everything back on, and so, by typing, find the problem area
