Why are hard drives periodically write-protected?

Problem with intermittent write blocking of HD volumes. At first, the F: volume was acceptable, it was possible to remove the protection only by renaming the disk (with a reboot). The next boot showed no problems, probably because I did not access other HDs.
Later I discovered that another volume was already protected, for example E:, and so on.
There is a suspicion either of conflicts in the hardware, or on Acronis True Image. By the way, backups are on a separate hard drive, not a volume, but a drive hidden from Windows.
How to understand what muck protects disks?
Demolish True Image?
Or is it conflict?
