I ran into a problem with the Unity editor: the UI editor behaves strangely, namely, anchors and parent elements, including Canvas, are not displayed.

In the screenshot, the Text element is inside the Canvas, but the Canvas itself is not displayed.
Accordingly, there is no way to set anchors and it is not at all convenient to position UI elements relative to each other. Looks like a bug in the editor. Reinstalling on this PC is problematic, so I hope that someone knows the solution or at least suggests what you can try to do.
The problem is in both old projects and new ones.
Unity version: 2017.3.1f1
