Joomla 3.xx Component or Module?

Good afternoon. There was a need to write an extension for Joomla, and here I am at a crossroads. What to write then? Module or component? What is the fundamental difference in terms of development, except for approaches?

It was created by Unity when placed on the stage and filled in the serialized fields.

If a module is needed, I would suggest writing a module. A component only if you need a component.
