Why 2 Microsoft Visual C++, x86 AND x64?

Why do I need two Visual C++, x86 and x64? Can one of these versions be deleted?

these are shared libraries for 32 and 64 bit applications.
not worth deleting

x86 applications cannot consume libraries from x64 and vice versa.
That's why there are two options
