Whose prospects after college are better: a programmer or a web application developer?
Hello
I'm choosing an educational program in college and I'm faced with a dilemma: two different qualifications are issued for the same specialty.
I looked at the curricula, they are quite strikingly different, although the specialty code is the same. In short:
1) A programmer has slightly less training hours (150h difference) than a web developer (which is strange).
2) A programmer in senior years will be given more systemic things, such as system programming, development of software modules, integration of software modules, and mobile application development . A web developer has none of these (they are replaced by other subjects such as design, front-end development, testing).

A developer is a synonym for a programmer.
What is better to eat apples or apples for dinner?
If you want to get the education that would give you the best base for further development as a programmer, then it is better to apply mathematics .
Why not wait a couple more years in high school? There will be time to decide
Well, if you need a clean piece of paper, you can choose any, because. it's probably low there. It doesn't matter what you choose, because you will have to study on your own, in addition to what they give in college.
