Who will tell you how you can make access to the home server?
There is a home server. At home, everything works well like clockwork, but how to make it so that you have access to it from another city, for example. On VPN somehow does not roll. Tell me please.

1. TeamViewer
2. Get a static external IP address from the provider, set up the forwarding of the necessary services to the computer from the outside (RDP / VNC / SSH) and use it.
If you have a server, then there is not a server either, and these are already two computers, which means a local network, which means there is a router (or a computer that performs its role).
You need to configure this router, give it a name (dyndns will help if a dynamic IP, for example dlink gives this service for free, requires the serial number of the router).
Then, on the router, you need to configure port forwarding for those services that need to be made available (this looks like a table of entries port_on_router->server_on_local_network:port_on_this_server).
it will look like this:
* redirect entry 81:sirius_server:80
* access to the web server http://sirius_server.dyndns.com:81/
