Who uses VEEAM Backup?

Good evening everyone.
I apologize for the stupid question, but now I decided to try the Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 product and I don’t really understand, but can it, in addition to backup virtual machines, also make backups of network folders?
And the second question, who uses what products to copy file files from 1TB?

It is not very clear why you need to backup a network folder separately if you backup the entire virtual machine.

If you don’t need to backup virtual machines, then just network folders can be done and Veeam Backup Free Edition!
