Who put elementaryOS on macbook?

Has anyone tried to install elementaryOS on a macbook? How does it feel? What works/doesn't work?
I want to put on an old macbook white. For even mac OS slows down on it - freshly installed 10.6.4 ... Following
the question: will the Ubuntu terminal commands be valid, for example, when installing some software?

I tried to try elementary several times on a regular laptop, but some jambs constantly got out, plus there was not enough native software and it wasn’t always what I wanted :) And if the laptop is weak, then some kind of xfce / lxde is better. Somehow it will be more stable. And the possibilities of the elementaries are well described in their promo video - listen to music and climb a little bit on the Internet ...

In some places, Elementary OS is still weak, this is written by people who have known it for a long time.
If you want the beauty of OS X, and the functionality of a full-fledged OS, then why not just roll the Freya shell (Elementary OS shell) onto Ubuntu?

you will lose some of the ports, the functionality is less than that of Mac OS
