I'm looking for open source software for simple version control of corporate documents that integrates into a file manager, similar to how Dropbox works. Client for Windows, preferably cross-platform.
Suppose there is a folder with a multi-level hierarchy, which contains a variety of documents. It is necessary that the contents of the folder are always synchronized with the "remote" storage under my control and that it is possible to roll back to previous versions of the document. Git / Hg and others, of course, are not suitable.
It is also important that clients can have all the documents at their disposal and, in the event of a failure in the storage service, can work independently of it.
