Who had experience of remote full/part time work (not freelancing) in the USA, what are the nuances and why not?
I live in Siberia, and we have UTC+7, in San Jose UTC-8, it turns out when we have 5 am, they have 2 pm. Those. quite ok, especially if you get a part-time job.
I have not seen stories on the Internet about remote work for the USA from Russia. All stories are only about freelancing on upwork... But I'm interested in permanent work, albeit part-time.
Share your experience, who worked / wanted to work according to such a scenario, why is it so rare? Maybe it's not legally possible?

I worked / I work, the time difference can be extremely important, or maybe not very much, depending on how the work is organized, but in any case it matters and this must be borne in mind.
And what city if not a secret?
There are few stories against the background of stories about upwork, because it takes about 15 minutes to register on upwork and call yourself a freelancer, and finding a good contract directly with a company in the USA is much more difficult.
If you want to work - look for and work, if you have enough skills, then there are no problems in this.
register an individual entrepreneur, read how currency control is handled, how to pay taxes and go.
for the USA it is difficult to hire a remote worker all the time - you need a work permit and ITIN
is therefore contrived - from Upwork to contracts with a company,
but an Amer must still understand this, but only a big man understands, and it’s not a problem for a big man to hire on the spot
I suspect that an American firm to hire a self-employed person for a permanent job (a Russian remote entrepreneur) is generally a violation of American laws. Because there is a substitution of an employment contract for a work contract - an action that is prohibited not only in Russia (and subject to administration), but also in the United States under American laws (it seems to be - but I don’t know for sure). At least, I have seen such reasoning somewhere on a foreign forum. In addition, it is not clear what to do with insurance. In theory, a Russian individual entrepreneur should in a good way buy Russian insurance for himself - and so that its coverage is sufficient to cover the losses of the American side in case of his wrong actions. And for this, a million dollars of insurance coverage may not be enough - in an average American company, a million losses through your fault can fly out in 2 days. And in the contract it is necessary to prescribe that the insurance liability lasts only for the period of the contract - but not after. And it is usually difficult for a Russian individual entrepreneur to dictate something to a remote employer - after all, there are a lot of people outside the window (in a fight for an offer).
Why is this not common - because it is too gemorno - for respectable foreigners. As a rule, only unrespectable foreign rogues are looking for remote workers - in pursuit of saving a penny. It is so unpleasant to deal with them - they are beggars. And their projects are idiotic and useless - as a rule. It seems to me that the only correct way is to create your own business in Russia and its representative office abroad. Then there is still a chance for some kind of stable employment. Or work in Russia as an employee of such a business. Or the option when the American side opens a branch in Moscow, and you work there. In general, we need some kind of powerful mediator - between you and the American side - a mediator that you either create with your own hands, or somehow manage to use someone else's mediation. All other plans
