Who can share an open source software for inventorying PCs and office equipment?
Good day Khabrovtsy!
Prompt the program completely free for inventory and accounting.
I would like to see in it:
1) Server database.
2) Convenient client interface for Linux, Windows.
3) Be sure to opensource with source code, as I work in the state. structure.
4) Be sure to completely free software without any restrictions on the functionality and the amount of equipment introduced.
5) The presence of the Russian language.
6) The ability to describe changes and movements of a PC or other equipment with the "History" tab.
7) The ability to describe the location of a PC or other equipment (room / office) and to whom (full name) the equipment is assigned.
8) Well, all the necessary items for inventory, so that you can describe ip / mask / serial number / RAM / ROM and so on with the ability to add all this through "+". For example, there was one harddisk in the computer, now there are two of them, and you just need to add a new one through the plus sign.
Before asking a question, I studied a lot, but many programs are either poor in functionality or do not correspond to the correct interface logic.
GLPI is completely inconvenient and incomprehensible from the point of view of logic, since it is a whole ITSM system, and inventory is only part of the functionality. And it's basically a rip-off. I would study it, but I don’t have the physical time to pick it up for a month or more to understand how to work with it correctly.
BKO (Base of computers of the organization) - bko.shatki.info - tried to use it. Already at the start, the program causes problems and errors of the framework. I got to the work of the program, but as soon as I made an account, another error of the Framework immediately came out. The author is well done for making good software in terms of meaning, but out of the box it does not work at all. Because a lot of things are tied to ODBC and MS Office. And since I have import substitution and libreoffice, I simply cannot use such software correctly. Well, there is no client part for Linux.

GLPI + FusionInventory for automatic inventory of everything.
Were you able to find something? I had a similar problem, I really don’t like GLPI for these purposes at all. for the same reasons
here, even rather, the question is not about the accounting system, but about the system of automatic collection of spec.
I, for example, need to distribute a link to a couple of dozen Claves with an order to open it, so that it itself collects the specs and puts it in the muscle. And I already had computers, printers, monitors in the same GLPI.
But now we have to scratch our heads how to implement all this ...
