Which way to deploy a local server on Mac OS X should I choose?

Hello.
The other day I started getting acquainted with OS X, before that I worked with Denwer on windows. As you already understood, I am engaged in web development at an amateur level.
After reading articles on habré and answers to similar questions on toster, I identified several options for installing a local server on OS X:
1). Use built-in system components.
2). Install a virtual machine with Ubuntu and deploy the server there.
3). Buy MAMP Pro (which you wouldn't want with free options).
The question is, which option should an amateur choose?

You can install the required technology stack with brew, you can use Vagrant and Papet, or you can throw xampp or nginx.
I'm closer to xamp. Hemorrhoids are the least.
