Which way to choose to analyze site data?

What is:
The backend resource is written in Java, the frontend is mainly used by angularJS, the postgresql base.
Task:
to make a system for analyzing this site (For example, where the transitions were made from).
My first thoughts:
In the database, store something like the following fields (page link, number of visits, time of visit, where the transition came from), of course, with each user action, this is to update the data.
Further, I think to visualize all this, with some kind of chart js.
Perhaps there is a better approach, would listen to every opinion.
