Which video card to choose for modern games under linux?
Please advise a travel vidyuhu so that the latest games go without brakes. And at the same time, it is desirable that everything be ok with firewood for Linux.

Let me add that the 660TI is probably the most optimal of the mid-priced cards (slightly slower than the 670).
660 will be 30-40 percent slower.
I have a Radeon HD6950, it works fine both with native games and with Steam under wine. Recommend.
And do not listen to those who say that nvidia is better, it is far from it.
geforce 670

I would like to clarify, by the latest games you mean games like Battlefield, Crysis, or do you mean like warsow?
In the case of the former, it is better to play under Windows (or install it specifically for this), for the latter, I think any.
If we discard the criterion of OS and drivers (there were no global problems under AMD), then I think the most suitable option for the Radeon HD7850 is 5800 rubles. If you want something huge and more expensive, then in my opinion this is the GeForce GTX 770 - 15,000 rubles.
As for firewood, an important aspect is that AMD does not have firewood for FreeBSD.
However, if you need the full range of OpenCL support, for example, double precision numbers, then for AMD they seem to start at 7950. (i.e. you need to look at such things for a specific video card).
Also pay attention to your PSU, because in games it may not be enough.
