Why doesn't composer want to update?

I am using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS amd64. I installed LAMP (php5.6, apache2, mysql) and composer. My project is made on the laravel 5.1 framework, I downloaded the project from github. I tried to update composer to run local server with "php artisan serve" command, but when I tried to update composer, terminal gave me this:
What terminal says
All extensions are enabled in php.ini file /etc/php/5.6/apache2/php.ini
All extensions that are included
What am I doing wrong? What is the terminal telling me otherwise?
