Which version of Photoshop is the fastest?

There was a need to put Photoshop on the home laptop, but the 2015 CC version shamelessly lags and slows down the laptop to impossibility. I would like to know which version is less voracious, and at the same time not very ancient =)

"Godlessly lag" on such hardware can only be a very crooked repack from Uncle Vasya, or some kind of pre-alpha.
If you exaggerated, and the brakes are there, but not so critical, then this is the norm. To speed up work with very voluminous files, replacing the HDD with an SSD will help.

Maybe in the settings add a possible RAM to it, disable rendering via gpu

There were similar brakes, I decided to put it on a clean Windows and everything worked fine, in my case the problem was in a dirty Windows, for reasons that are not clear to me, photoshop, if there was enough space in the RAM, for some reason used the swap file, I was too lazy to figure it out, I just put win 10

CC is the fastest photoshop with the most
lag interface XD if the interface lags freeze out, put CS6 well, or torment it for a week - they will pass
