Personally, I'm waiting for June and the release of Asus Transformer Prime tf700. In addition to the fact that it is powerful in itself and will accurately withstand high-definition video (and therefore many other pleasant and less resource-consuming things, like books), you can attach a docking station there and use it as a full-fledged laptop, moreover, on Tablets can be easily installed Linux (Ubuntu).
Of the two proposed: Acer Iconia. Judging by Yandex.Market, they have the same characteristics, but Acer has a nicer design.

I use Acer a501 - there is a normal usb for connecting to a PC. File transfer works accordingly.

Tablet based on Tegra 3.
Motivation: while developing (~ a year), Android 4 and Tegra 3 will already be mainstream.

I would rather look at which tablet now has the largest market share and choose its newest modification (since while you are developing, users will probably jump over to the new version)

I'm testing on my Asus Transformer. Now it has fallen in price due to the release of Prime. A convenient and productive device, Android ICS will soon be released on it.
I held the Acer A500 in my hands, it seemed to me a bit heavy
