Which SSD to choose for MBP 13/2012?

I'm going to put an ssd drive instead, which one to choose? I pre-selected this OCZ Vertex 4 (VTX4-25SAT3-128G), but maybe someone will tell you the best option? Notebook MD101. Budget up to 5k.

Vetrex 4 is an excellent choice.

I took this one for MBP early 2011:
Intel 520 Series Solid-State Drive 120 GB SATA 6 Gb/s 2.5-Inch
No complaints.

I use Plextor M5 Pro PX-128M5P . New controller, full 5 year warranty. No complaints so far either.

To be honest, I don’t know if MBP has any features in this context compared to a regular laptop. I advise you not to bother much with performance (and if you do, then look at IOPS), but buy the maximum possible volume among proven models. The tested models are primarily the Crucial m4 and Samsung 830, the latter having a very low idle power consumption (and it is idle almost all the time), which is not a problem for a laptop.

I will support the idea about Vertex 4

Take OCZ Vector, even cooler than Vertex4. It will appear in stores soon or may have already appeared somewhere.

I myself have been using SSD since 2nd generation, Agility2 from OCZ was chosen for the first look. Before that, I read a lot of reviews and tests, manuals. Now I do not use HDD for OS either in desktop or mobile PCs. I serve almost 20 computers with SSD, there are some statistics and impressions. Now to your question. If you use a Mac to run heavy database-type applications, Vertex3 MI is the best choice. In other cases, the gain will be greater from the capacity for your data than from ten percent of the speed according to the tests. And here the Agility3 240GB is better suited. I would be very surprised if you notice by eye the difference in synchronous and asynchronous NAND Flash in applications other than those described above. But the absence of the need to constantly look askance at the percentage of free space on the drive,
In any case, be sure to update your drive's firmware to the latest available before use. Good luck.
