I am going to work with a large amount of data, namely, to parse thousands of comments from VK through the API with subsequent output on the site, and also enter them into the database. The parser runs as cron every 5-10 minutes. Question: what kind of server do I need to be optimal in terms of load and everything works stably?
Hosting is not recommended. It's about iron.

Amateur advice, but, as they say, from the heart.
1. Buy the cheapest VPS on a decent hosting.
2. Run your code, evaluate the performance.
3. If the performance is not enough, switch to a higher tariff, return to step 2.
4. Stay on this virtual machine or find an iron server with comparable performance.
If there is no time for tests, you can immediately deploy your project on some cloud system like Google Apps, and let Google think about resources. He's big, he knows better.
