Which router to choose for a field lab?

This is a question from a complete beginner. We have one mobile server (in other words, a laptop). And 20 Samsung tablets. We need to connect them to the server where the game / survey will be launched, in which those who will use the tablets should take part. Since this will be a field laboratory for social research, it is not at all certain that there will be mobile coverage, but we do not need it - all that is needed is for tablets to be able to connect to the server. Q: Which router is best for this?

Any router with Wi-Fi - no special requirements, judging by your description, are imposed on it.

@sand3001

all that is needed is for tablets to be able to connect to the server.

If this is really all that is needed, then I would look in the direction of raising the access point on the laptop, why produce extra hardware?

@ru6ak

UAP-AC-HD
UAP-nanoHD These
are only access points, but if the server (on which DHCP is enabled) is on the same network, you don't need a router.
