Which processor, guided by the socket, to choose for games and programming?

The choice is between processors with LGA 1366 and 1151 sockets. There are only pros and cons.

1151 - the prices are adequate, the choice is large.
1366 - there is nothing to choose from.
But if in your particular case you manage to find a stone faster and cheaper at 1366 than at 1151, take it at 1366. But you are unlikely to find it.
