Which processor architecture is preferable for programming, INTEL or AMD?

I hesitate between the Intel Core i5-9500 and AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processors.
In the tests, it’s clear that the Ryzen 5 3600 kind of breaks the Core i5-9500 into chips, but like AMD with virtualization, adaptation, etc. ?
For Ryzens of the third generation, as far as I heard, it is necessary to update the BIOS on motherboards to the latest version?
And according to Intel, isn't the LGA 1151-v2 a very unpromising platform? (In the future, the plan is to change the pebble to a more powerful one)

Rendering video, as I understand it, will be faster than Ryzen 5 3600? (Of course, this interests me less than programming, but still)

from a theoretical point of view - benches rule.
From a practical point of view, Intel is the flagship and that says it all.
even more practical (unless, of course, you earn money with programming, and not a hobby), you can update at least every year.

I wonder if the processor is faster, will this affect the speed in programming?

And today I had to program on xiaomi. Right on the arm processor!
Directly opened the ssh client, logged into the home server, logged in, do not believe it, in vim...
Come on, I logged in, I was able to get out of it! And all this on an ARM processor.

Comparing the i5 9500f and Ryzen 5 3600, the winner will be the latter. It's 50 percent faster in Passmark's multi-core CPU test, not to mention it has 15 percent more memory bandwidth, more L3 MBs, and an unlocked multiplier, meaning it can be overclocked even further. The price is the same :)
