For myself, I found only MX player (in general, he is a video player), but he cannot read the tags of mp3 files. The rest can remember only one file from the directory.
As a result, you need a player that can:
1. Keep the last position when playing any file.
2. Read tags, including in Russian.
3. You can specify folders with files.

AIMP player for android can do this, n7player (a bit of a problem with encoding)

Astro Player can do all this - I didn’t find it better, although I would like a modern interface - there are skins like from the 90s
