Here is a great article on how to choose an SSD . They die mainly because of the controller. When the cells are worn out, only writing to the SSD will be impossible, reading will work fine.
It is advisable to install clean Windows on the SSD, because the system works differently with these types of disks. Or you will have to edit the settings a little in the registry.
Of the proven ones, I recommend Kingston, on Amazon the price is $ 47. Works great. I do not recommend OCZ, their controller often dies.
