Which monitoring with alerts for a cloud application to choose?
Cloud project supporting aws, gcp, azure.
A dozen servers, a dozen installations. In total, about a hundred cars.
I want to collect metrics, build graphs, alert. Free or not very expensive.
Looked at grafana + collectd .- alerts are tied to dashboards. Dashboards with parameterization are not supported. If you want to receive alerts for a dozen servers in a dozen installations, create a dashboard for each. Very uncomfortable.
Grafana + prometheus + alertmanager - alerts are generated on the monitored machine. The machine or the alerting service will die - and I will not know about it.
Zabbix: poorly configured automatically, configs in the database. Poor support for cases when instances are dynamically created/deleted.
Nagios/Itinga: The graphics are bad.
Datadog: everything is fine, but $15/mo. too expensive for a car.
What else to see?

Look at Zenoss - a few years ago it was more convenient than Zabbix.
But in recent years, I try not to mess with on-premise. Check out NewRelic - it has many products, from infrastructure to the web, including APM.
