Which media center to buy with torrents, wifi and HDMI?

Actually, subject. I want to put a box next to the TV that will automatically download torrents (including checking if new files have been added to the distributions), play videos (MKV, subtitles, and so on) via HDMI, connecting to the router via WiFi. I remember on Habré some articles about such devices, I can’t remember the name of the device type and even keywords.
There is no stationary computer in the house (only laptops), and even then, when I buy it, I will make it a gaming one - but somehow I don’t want to leave the 500-watt unit constantly on. Well, in general, I want it to work right out of the box, without installing software, configuring and other joys of life.
Thanks in advance

I bought the iconBIT XDS1003D for my parents , they like the media player complete with a 3D TV, it gives an excellent picture. Inside its own shell + Android. It is omnivorous and in the case there is a place for a hard drive + connectors for connecting external hard drives or flash drives. This is not the only option, you can look at iconBIT and other models.
WiFi is connected using an additional usb wifi adapter. Fortunately, there are several supported adapter models to choose from.

Take a look at this firm. The highest quality and "tricked out" of what I have seen

in terms of filling, the coolest are American popcorn,
but there are also solutions from BBK and D-link.
Google for "network mediaplayer"

Look at solutions from WD - a good balance of price and quality.
I have WD TV Live, which I am completely satisfied with, but it is made in a different paradigm - it allows you to stream video from a computer to which everything is downloaded and stored.

look in the direction of this:
ASUS EeeBox PC EB1021 (there is Fusion)
install XBMC from above directly on the hardware
remote control use Microsoft MCE from the newest
torrents, YouTube and everything else is configured directly from the remote control through plugins, very convenient

I have had ASUS Oplay Air HDp-R3 for two months now. It does not have a hard drive, but there, among other things, there is an eSATA connector, which allows you to connect an external hard drive and not lose speed.
For this thing, there are alternative firmware, stuffed with extra. services - from FTP to torrent downloader. For me, it turned out to be important that in the alternative firmware there is the ability to control the device through the browser, tk. I still have this media center without a TV and should play music in the nursery.
He gets along well with UPNP (I have a mediatomb on my home server that distributes all media content), knows how to play Internet radio, watch youtube, show photos, show the Internet through the built-in Opera, etc.

Most of all, in network players, the speed of working with a screw over a network is frustrating - FTP and SMB, as a rule, do not give more than 5-6 megabytes per second, even over a gigabit network. I myself am the owner of the Egreat M32B - quite a quality thing, almost everything pulls films, with rare exceptions.
When buying, I recommend paying attention to DTS support out of the box - not all manufacturers have bothered to buy it. True, in the presence of a receiver, this issue becomes irrelevant.
The recently widespread minicomputers the size of a flash drive on Android are a rather crude product. Often there are unexpected glitches, then WiFi falls off, then the processor overheats ... The firmware is still incomplete. Third-party Linux distributions are noticeably slow on them. Perhaps this problem will be solved in the near future, but I would not rush.
In summary, I can join the advice above - Dune, Popcorn and Iconbit.
