I never chose by company and for all the time I bought a defective one, though I changed it without any problems.
I do laptop repair. For myself, I would take Samsung or Hynix. Why so - because these are proven manufacturers, and they themselves produce what they sell, and not just glue a colored label. And according to my statistics, they have the least problems with them. As for buggy memory - how many of the users run it with a memtest once a year? For an ordinary user, defective memory is when the laptop no longer turns on or beeps, and the fact that it can throw errors under heavy load, dropping the system in blue - for some reason, many do not notice this.
