Which MacBook should a student of a technical university choose?

Good day!

In the next academic year I plan to enter the Technical University, specialty - Computer games and graphics. There is a need for a laptop on which I can program, work in programs for 3D modeling. For some reason, I don’t even consider Windows laptops. My choice fell on the MacBook Pro 13 ”2020. I am faced with the choice to get a Mac with an 8th generation Intel i5 clocked at 1.4GHz; 8 GB of RAM with a frequency of 2133MHz or pay extra and take it with a 10th generation Intel i5 with a clock speed of 2.0GHz; 16GB at 3733MHz? This question arose because I doubt that I will need all the power of a more expensive model or to study at a university, the more powerful the better?
