Macbook Retina processor upgrade - who did it?
Hey!
There is a laptop with i7 of the fourth series at 2.3 GHz. I would like to put more powerful, 2.5-2.8. Finding a percent is not such a question, soldering causes concern, but it is also not as scary as the other - but will it start? Naturally, I will choose the percentage that was on this line in older configurations, but will it be enough just to solder it? For RAM, for example, there are configuration resistors that need to be rearranged when upgrading chips. Is there the same for CPU? What about SMC?
Well, yes, who soldered such large chips without bottom heating with one hair dryer?)

a couple of years ago (maybe more) in the VKontakte group of a service center in Taganrog, the guys published a post in which they boasted that (according to their data) they were the first in Russia to perform such an operation))
so what did they do. if interested, I can search for old posts and give their contact. it will only be within a week
