Which LED and battery to choose?

I have such a wonderful ashtray:

I want to stick a yellow / orange LED inside on double-sided tape.
how much I'm looking for, they are everywhere 12 volts or "standard", and there is no description of the voltage for the standard ones.
I need to make it compact, so it's a coin cell battery, like on the motherboard.
question: which LED to choose and how? Or am I missing something and it can't be done?
